Living in Barcelona offers constant opportunities to practise Spanish, but being surrounded by the language isn’t always enough to learn it. In my face-to-face lessons we turn the questions that arise in your daily life into useful learning material. We work together in person, with time to talk, make corrections and understand why an expression works in a particular context.
Lessons are open to students at every level, from A1 to C2, and can take place in Barcelona and the surrounding area. Your learning plan is adapted to your starting point and your personal, professional or academic goals.
In a face-to-face lesson, voice, gestures, eye contact and the other person’s immediate reactions all play a part. These cues help you understand messages and respond more naturally. They also let us spot pronunciation, comprehension or expression difficulties as they arise.
Each lesson combines conversation, listening, vocabulary and grammar. Rather than studying these as separate elements, we apply them to situations you may encounter outside class, such as speaking with colleagues, asking for information, joining a meeting or explaining what you need.
Before planning the course, we’ll assess your level and discuss the situations in which you use or want to use Spanish. This way we can focus on what you need and set a pace that suits your learning style.
Learning becomes meaningful when you recognise and use it afterwards. That’s why I include materials related to your surroundings and suggest activities that connect lessons to your week: noticing how an expression is used, preparing for a conversation or bringing a real question to class so we can resolve it together.
This continuity helps you become aware of what you already know and turn the city into a place to practise. The goal isn’t to speak without support, but to gain tools that let you communicate with increasing independence.
This format is ideal if you value direct contact, want to practise actively and can attend lessons in Barcelona or nearby areas. It can also be combined with online sessions when your schedule changes or you need to travel.
