Learning Catalan takes practice and continuity. Our hybrid format combines in-person lessons in Barcelona and the surrounding area with online sessions, so you can make the most of the language around you without always having to travel.
Both formats follow the same learning plan. What you notice or practise in a face-to-face session can be revisited online, and digital materials can prepare you to use Catalan when you next meet in person.
Living in Catalonia offers many opportunities to encounter the language, but you may not always have time or confidence to analyse them on the spot. Bring words, messages or situations you’ve come across to class and turn them into learning opportunities.
Online lessons allow you to go over this material at your own pace. Face-to-face classes offer direct interaction and help you practise pronunciation and conversation.
Hybrid lessons are tailored to students from A1 to C2. Your starting level determines the amount of support, the materials and the complexity of the tasks. At beginner level we’ll build basic tools to understand and respond. At advanced levels we can focus on accuracy, register and nuance.
Your programme may focus on daily life, professional communication, understanding school-related situations or overall language development.
In a bilingual society, it’s easy to stop practising when a conversation switches languages. Having a regular space to learn lets you return to Catalan, work through difficulties and build the skills to keep speaking it for longer.
The flexible format helps protect that regular practice. If your circumstances change, we’ll adapt the delivery without interrupting your progress.
